The T.I.S. Fund
The T.I.S. Fund is a retirement savings fund that operates for the benefit of its members and their dependants. It was established to assist members to save for retirement and it has to comply with government regulations in the way it operates. As a member of a regulated superannuation fund, you receive the benefits of special taxation treatment available for retirement savings.
You can continue to use The TIS Fund even if you change employment.
The T.I.S. Fund is an accumulation fund. This means that contributions and interest earnings are credited to account balances. From this account, administration fees, insurance premiums and taxes are deducted.
The T.I.S. Family Protection Plan
Currently, the T.I.S. Fund gives automatic cover for Death and Total & Permanent Disablement (TPD) for members of the Fund where employer contributions are being received. Protection varies with age, and the age range is between 18 years and 60 years old. The T.I.S. Product Disclosure Statement sets out the cover that is granted.
Exclusively, members of the T.I.S. Fund can now apply for additional Death cover or Death and TPD cover. The application for additional insurance is subject to acceptance by the Insurer after a review of the evidence in the proposal form.
